Share your passion for treasure hunts, technology and games while sharpening team-building and problem solving skills as a geocaching volunteer leader at the City Of Gainesville’s newly constructed Depot Park. Geocaching volunteers are needed to guide and monitor outdoor treasure hunts using GPS devices. Volunteers are needed Monday-Saturday (times vary due to programming). Volunteers are expected to contribute at least 2-4 hours each week.

Volunteers will complete and sign a volunteer application and complete a background screening.

Description

The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department manages over 3,200 acres of parkland with numerous cultural, recreational, and natural areas and facilities. In October of 2013, the Department became one of 119 agencies in the country to be fully accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies
