Mission Statement
Our mission is to ensure a productive community of inter-generational Gambian immigrants in New York City who would contribute to the city culturally and economically. We want to build bridges with other neighbors, local businesses, inistitutions and other community-oriented organizations.
Description
Our program objectives this year are:
- To facilitate an after-school enrichment program for inner-city youth, this would include tutoring, mentoring and career support.
- To organize health seminars, on topics such as blood pressure, high cholestorol. diabetes and heart failure.
- To bring women of the community together by organizing trips, having baking/icing classes, make-up sessions, sports field days and "therapy" sessions.
