Purpose: Volunteers will serve as a liaison between the NYC community and CWS, and support outreach efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a liaison between CWS and your network and local community
Identifying new organizations and groups within the community to connect with
Organization of events: promotion, finding sponsorship opportunities, in-kind donations, selling of tickets, and etc.
Event support- set up, take down, runner, taking names for the mailing list, taking credit card donations, engaging with guests, and etc.
Donor outreach and cultivation support, and identifying new donors
Educate and share with communities relevant policy updates, action alerts, and advocacy tools as appropriate
Qualifications:
Interest in immigration and refugees
Strong written and oral communication skills
Comfortable engaging with people in any environment
