OVCA 2016 Highlights

Our non-profit 501(c)(4) organization is searching for dedicated hands to help with Volunteer Engagement, an important activity that supports our mission statement!

This opportunity involves assisting the Volunteer Engagement Manager in a wide variety of projects relating to volunteer recruitment, placement, training and appreciation.

ABOUT OVCA's VOLUNTEER ENGAGEMENT INITIATIVE!

Volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization! OVCA's goal is to create volunteer-specific outreach strategies, offer a diverse set of volunteer opportunities and host volunteer development and appreciation events.

We recognize and celebrate that our volunteers have different interests, skills, and capabilities. Most importantly, w e are always on the lookout for volunteers to step into leadership roles. Taking a leadership role is the ultimate form of engagement and is critical to expanding our mission and vision!

To advance the humane and responsible treatment of Ohio's companion animals through education, grassroots advocacy and legislative engagement.

Description

We are an Ohio citizen-driven, community- based nonprofit corporation concerned about the welfare of companion animals. We want stronger laws to protect them and we expect those laws to be rigorously enforced. Our goal is to become a significant advocate for companion animals in Ohio. We will accomplish this through public awareness campaigns, grassroots advocacy and legislative engagement.
