CALLING ALL ARTISTS! Painters, sculptors, illustrators, designers, et.al.

The Arts @ Henson-Parks, Inc. is looking for artists or those who love the arts showcases their talents and crafts, while helping teach art to local youths, and those who consider themselves "youthful".

We conduct POP-UP Art Workshops one weekend day per month in various locations around New York City and surrounding boroughs. We would promote educational and informational art-based crafts, and artist's work. You would help us organize our workshops and events.

The workshops are 2-4 hours for 1 day per month, usually a Saturday. If you're an artist and want to teach a workshop - we're open to what many would consider "transitional" mediums, as well as experimenting with various mediums, cultural themes, and the uncommon. Our mission is educational + recreational.

If you are interested in helping coordinate a POP-UP workshop , we are interested in you!

Equipment and instructional tools would be provided.

Own/public transporation required.

We are a community-based, youth-focused organization that incorporates mission-enriched programming to encourage the re-thinking, re-defining and re-framing a participant's view of the world. We engage our participants in educational and recreational initiatives that encourage exploration, discovery and fearless self-expression. We look to captivate their mind, and then become their captive audience.
