ORGANIZATION: JOHN NEBA INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES

  • 1 person is interested

We are a small organization with a great and noble vision. We have created a good foundation and are ready for take-off. First we want to create our presence in the web through a new website, face book, Linkedin etc; and we also need assistance with video development that we will use for fund raising. We have the footage for editing. I work in the city of Pittsburgh, hence I can meet with any volunteer. Any assistance in these areas will be greatly appreciated.

Mission Statement

Our Goal There are 121 million secondary school aged children and youths out of school due to poverty. Our goals is to build the capacity of these children and youths equip them with 21st century skills and hence empower them to pull themselves, their nations, and subsequently our globe out of chronic poverty sustainably. Our Beliefs No nation has pulled itself out of poverty sustainably without achieving at least 80% secondary school enrollment rate. Furthermore, the indigenous people themselves have to be relentlessly engaged in their economic development in order to pull themselves out of poverty on a sustainable basis; but they cannot do so if they do not have the required 21st century skills for economic development.

Description

John Neba International Ministries is a non-profit organization. Although this organization was registered in 2006 the founder Dr. Martha Neba-Mbandi has been researching ways of unblocking the secondary school funding impasse in least developed nations as described by unesco. Through her PhD research at Robert Morris University Pittsburgh, Dr. Neba-Mbandi developed the Teach For Hope (TFH) educational system funded by Sweat Equity in Partnership with Social Entrepreneurs (SEPSE). This system will universalize secondary-to-community college academic/vocational education especially for children and youths stuck in chronic poverty because they will not pay tuition (Please read more in her book "The End of Sunless Cities. available on Amazon). JNIM plans to start the first school in Cameroon. We have acquired land for the school and two buildings to start the school in Guzang Cameroon temporally.

Every great thing starts with the first step. I was very exited to read LanVwa's mission statement and will very much love to collaborate with you in whatever way you deem possible. First we will be very grateful to have technology assistance from any volunteer(s) to place us on the web, facebook etc and if possible help to design our new website. Thank you!
