Volunteers Needed for California's Only Sunset 5K at Solana Beach

Calling all incredible individuals and groups!

Champions for Health is having our 3 rd annual Solana Beach Sunset 5K on Saturday October 1 st 2016. We are a non-profit, 501 (c) 3 organization committed to improve our community’s’ health and wellness and ensure access to care for all. Our 5K is to raise funds for our diabetes prevention program, Jump Start for Health.

We are in need of great volunteers to assist us before and day of the event. Rolls can include:

-Stuffing the goodie bags

-Registration

-Wellness Expo Support

-Course setup

-Finish Line Support

-Water Station/ Cheer leaders

-And More

Who is this good for?

-Those needing community service hours for School, Court or other

-Large groups (School, organizations, religious, etc.) looking to give back

-Families that want to spend a day at the beach and help

- Those that have a passion to support the underserved and their health

-Those looking to have a great time while giving back.

Don't worry, we won't ask you to be there at 7 AM because this a SUNSET event so for those of you that like to sleep in; you can volunteer too!

Come join us at beautiful Fletcher’s Cove and see Solana Beach’s natural cliffs. We will have a Wellness Expo with health partners from all over San Diego County providing free health screenings or information. Healthy eating organizations will also be present providing free goodies too! Walk on the warm sand and be part of the diabetes prevention movement all while watching the sunset. It is a going to be a great time and can't wait for your help to make it happen!
