The Center for Enamel Art is a non-profit organization whose goals are to preserve, promote and advance the art of enameling and to foster community among enamel artists and art-lovers. We work with a number of partners to offer enameling workshops, lectures, exhibitions, public art tours and more.
Currently, we are looking for an intern for the fall semester 2016, or for 6 months if the applicant is not a student who is not enrolled in a current accredited program. The organization is young and has many needs. We will tailor the intern’s work based on both skil l s and interests.
Potential Responsibilities
Social Media
Assist our marketing committee in managing social media including posting event pictures and event listings,
Monitor social media web analytics on a weekly basis (e.g. page views, followers), and provide reports of growth and other activity.
Write and send organizational announcements and news to relevant publications
Brainstorm ideas for new and innovative marketing and social media campaigns
Research and Outreach
Research and collect data about fine art departments, department heads, and faculty in universities and colleges in the U.S.
Compile a resource list of based on the data collected
Outreach to faculty and students to promote enameling and the Center’s educational programs
Fundraising
Assist our fundraising committee in creating a video that can be used for fundraising campaigns
Create a brochure about the Center that can be included in various fundraising appeals
Qualifications
We are seeking motivated and responsible college students or young professionals looking to gain experience working with a a very new arts nonprofit. Prior interning experience is not a requirement, but we do require you to have a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. A potential intern should be comfortable working independently but also working with a team and a supervisor.

The intern will be expected to work 15 hours per week.
Compensations
This is a non-paid internship. We encourage the intern to use this experience to gain course credit and to seek out "work-study" grants with their college, if that is an option.
Our intern may work with other volunteers and artists. He or she can expect to gain not only design and marketing experience, but organizational and management skills

Description
The Center for Enamel Art is a non-profit art organization. It exists now in partnership with several other organizations to produce workshops, exhibitions, and other educational programs for and about enameling in the San Francisco/Bay Area and elsewhere in the U.S. The Center’s outreach goes well beyond the local and regional arts communities. Its social media and web presence includes a blog, and in the future, webinars, an online store, online exhibitions and images from exhibitions it sponsors in the Bay Area and elsewhere, an accessible digitalized library, and much more.
