The MONTANA BOOK FESTIVAL is coming up! AND we have volunteer positions available!

WHO?

You! Volunteers will help make the Montana Book Festival Possible, along with more that 150 readers and panelists, including: Eileen Myles, Danez Smith, Kate Bernheimer, Brian Blanchfield, Maile Meloy, James Lee Burke, Greg Pardlo, Michael Earl Craig, Rachel Harper, Sunil Yapa, Anne Hillerman, Paula McClain, Lily Hoang, Robert Pyle, Stpehen Graham Jones, and Shobha Rao.

WHAT?

The Montana Book Festival is a celebration of literary arts held each fall in downtown Missoula that seeks to provide a dynamic, evolving forum for literary engagement, as well as to foster literary community and enthusiasm for the written word by among readers of all ages. Over the course of several days, the Montana Book Festival presents exciting literary arts programming for participants and attendees from throughout the city, state and region. Events include readings, author signings, panels, workshops, a youth festival, special events, vendor exhibits and a book fair.

WHERE?

Events will be hosted at locations around the Hip Strip, UM, and Downtown Missoula. Plus, your Volunteer Button will get you freebies and discounts at additional restaurants and shops all across town. Free glass of wine at Dolce? Yes, please! Free coffee from Le Petit? Don't mind if I do.

WHEN?

Volunteers have the chance to contribute in whatever ways their schedules allow. We have plenty of projects during August and September leading up to the festival and we will also have volunteers working with us during the actual dates of the Montana Book Festival, September 21-25, 2016.

WHY?

Aside from the warm, fuzzy feeling you'd get from volunteering and the bold, confident feeling you'd get from rubbing elbows with organizers and featured readers, all volunteers receive a festival volunteer button for bargains from our sponsors (at least a $25 value), a MT Book Fest t-shirt, a MT Book Fest tote bag and a VIP invite to our festival author after-party.

We recommend submitting your application ASAP to get your top pick of participation options! Feel free to invite friends to volunteer, too. Book nerdy-ness welcomed, but not required!
