Make a Difference Abroad is looking for native English speaking candidates who are enthusiastic and motivated to teach English classes all ages and grades, We invites you to collaborate with us to implement programs that contribute to achieving social justice in the developing world.

We are a young, non-profit organization that operates at the local level in the country of Mexico, that focus on linking volunteers, interns and experienced teachers with students from low-income backgrounds, who attend at public schools located in traditional and safe cities in the country of Mexico.

We believe that education is the best way to come out of ignorance, poverty and also to help ourselves. The English language is a master key that will open educational opportunities and employment for many people and children who dream of a better life.

POSITION INFORMATION.

  • Job Category: English Teacher Position

  • Type: Intern/Volunteer.

  • Work Schedule: Flexible (depends upon the placement of the teacher)

  • Hours per Week: 25- 30

  • Employment Start Date: at the beginning of Summer, Fall, and Spring semester. (Ongoing application process)

  • Employment End Date: At the end of each semester.

  • Location.- Country:Mexico. States: Puebla and Oaxaca.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Primary Responsibilities

  • Teaching Basics: Interns and Volunteers are placed in elementary and public middle schools where they teach English to teenagers and children. As well teachers are placed with local organizations where they teach English to young people and adults.

  • Participants teach 4 or 6 hours a day, five days a week, the schedule depends upon the placement of the teacher. The courses are either part of the children’s regular coursework or will be incorporated into other activities. English teachers will assist each other in developing lesson plans, leading classes and implementing interactive learning activities such as games, shows and songs, teachers are expected to be punctual, prepared, and dynamic, all classes are 100% English, so no Spanish is required.
