826 Boston is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.

Each of our free programs seeks to strengthen each student’s power to express ideas effectively, creatively, confidently, and in his or her individual voice.

We're looking for Actors for 826 Boston's Storytelling & Bookmaking Field Trips. Field trips are the chance for entire classes to come to our writing center for a few hours of high-energy learning.

We need Actors Tuesday or Friday mornings to help facilitate and lead Field Trips and engage students in a storytelling activity! Roles include the following who work in our "research lab" for cryptozoology:

- The Cranky Publisher (remote opportunity)

Description

Our services are structured around the understanding that great leaps in learning can happen with one-on-one attention and that strong writing skills are fundamental to future success. With this understanding in mind, we provide drop-in tutoring, field trips, after-school workshops, in-schools tutoring, help for English language learners, and assistance with student publications.

All of our free programs seek to strengthen each student's power to express ideas effectively, creatively, confidently, and in his or her individual voice.
