Water station volunteers provide support to participants along the course. Each water station will have a captain who will assign you your specific job during your shift. In general, water station volunteers will be responsible for set-up and preparation of supplies prior to first runner arriving at your station, distributing water and sports drinks to participants during the event, and the clean-up and tear down of the stop when directed by the aide station caption. You are also there to provide support, encouragement and cheer to all participants on along the course.
All volunteers are required to attend one pre-event training session to be ready to hit the ground running on Saturday, October 8 th. We will be holding training sessions both online and in person on Friday October 7 th (Time and Location TBD).
Last year, we invited our community to join us on a Comeback Trial. Nearly 1,000 individuals joined us by walking a community trail, through their neighborhood park, or taking a walk around their block to celebrate their journey to Come Back Strong.
This year, we’re growing our trails efforts by launching our Comeback Trail 5K run/walk series. Join us as we launch our signature events series and become a part of the Come Back Strong movement!
