John is a lifetime MENSA member and he'd love to have stimulating conversations about the topics he loves: history, science, art, world events. John is 69 and lives in a Pflugerville nursing home and would love to spend some time with a highly knowledgeable volunteer.
John was recently diagnosed with short term memory dementia and having someone to have an intelligent conversation about the things he loves and spent a lifetime learning about would make his day!

Description
Family Eldercare is a nonprofit agency that has been providing services to older adults, people with disabilities, and their caregivers in the Austin, Texas area since 1982. Programs and services include: housing and stability, in-home counseling, guardianship, virtual activities for isolated older adults, service coordination, and our annual summer fan drive.
