CCA Needs Your Help At The CT Open

ORGANIZATION: The Center for Children's Advocacy

Who: The Center for Children's Advocacy has a booth at this year's CT Open

What: We need 8 volunteers (must be 21+) over the course of the day (10:30am - 8pm) to help run the booth, talk about the organization and sell raffle tickets. Entrance and parking to the CT Open will be provided.

When: Tuesday, August 23rd, 10:30 am - 8pm (min. 4 hour shift; you select the time you can volunteer)

Where: CT Open at Yale in New Haven

Why: We are a non-profit that has been fighting for the legal rights of CT's most vulnerable children since 1997. We use community outreach as a way to bring awareness about the work we do. We also use it to help fundraiser and all proceeds benefit the children we serve.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Must be 21 or older
  • Must have own transportation
  • Must be available/able to volunteer for a minimum of 4 hours
  • Must like working with diverse groups of people in a diverse setting
  • Must be enthusiastic, out-going, with great people skills
  • Must be able to do basic math
  • Knowledge in hosting/participating in a raffle a plus

Through collaborative and outreach programs, CCA serves hundreds of children each year and provides the legal advocacy needed to give these children a chance to lead healthy, productive lives.
