The purpose of the Event Project Intern is to assist in organizing and managing all event activities for the Orlando Market. This position is accountable for helping to meet those goals set for the event by March of Dimes staff and the volunteer Event Chair. Interns will coordinate and implement event components for multiple events including: Signature Chef’s Auction and our Premier event, March for Babies. Under the supervision of assigned staff, this position will act as a liaison between the organization, its volunteers and the local community in which it serves.

The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.

Description

The March of Dimes works to end premature birth and other problems that threaten our babies. We help moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. If something goes wrong, we offer information and comfort to families. We research the reasons why babies are born too soon or very sick and work on preventions.
