Assist the clients of our Food Pantry by registering them and giving them goods!

  • Treat everyone with great dignity and love
  • Conduct short (5 min) intake interview with new people applying for aid; enter new info into our system
  • Greet each client with love and tell them how many Thrift Store credits they have
  • Enter the clothing clients choose from the Thrift Store into our system
  • Pull food from the Pantry and present it to them
  • Record the food for the clients into our system
  • Help them to their car with purchases if needed
We need caring people from 10am-1pm and 1-4pm Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.

The Missionaries of Our Lady of Divine Mercy is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to
serving the poor through the spiritual and corporal works of mercy. This includes not only the financially poor, but also the poor in spirit, the forgotten, the lonely, the sick and dying. Anyone with a "hole in their soul" is served through this outreach. We believe in the dignity of every human life and strive to bring the message of God's love and mercy to each person we serve. Our motto is "Mercy is a verb".

Description

The House of Mercy, founded in 2005, performs charitable works throughout the northern Virginia area, targeting Manassas, Manassas Park, Gainesville, Haymarket and surrounding Prince William County area. While its primary mission is to feed the hungry, its members also perform service work with the elderly, the sick and dying, the homeless and others in need. New areas of service include life skills development in job search and networking, ESL and GED tutoring, reading programs, and financial literacy.
