Relay For Life of Issaquah is a signature fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. Composed of volunteers, the Event Leadership Team works on recruiting, event logistics, and promoting fundraising for the fight against cancer. Training is both formal and informal, varying by position and experience of the volunteer. Time commitments vary by position. All Event Leadership Team members are expected to attend monthly Relay Rallies and Leadership Team meetings. All Event Leadership Team members are expected to raise a minimum of $100 to qualify for Hope Club.


- Partner with various other planning team members to promote event to recruit new participants, survivors, and sponsors

- Partner with ACS Staff Partner to create flyers/posters used for publicity

- Distribute flyers/posters within the community; partner with Team Ambassadors to distribute within schools

- Organize a minimum of two "Paint the Town Purple" events

- Secure partnerships/sponsorships within the community to help increase publicity for the event

- Maintain and promote social media sites (Instagram, Twitter and Facebook)

- Partner with various planning team members to include posts on Advocacy, Mission Delivery, Fundraising, Recognition of teams/individuals/survivors, Build the Fun events and more

- Partner with Online Lead to ensure website information is promoting what’s hot at Relay
