Partner with fellow Event Ambassadors to represent Best Friends Animal Society and Strut Your Mutt by distributing marketing materials in the community, at events, and at local businesses and organizations. With guidance from the Marketing Outreach Lead, the Event Ambassadors will be responsible for going out into the community to encourage attendance, registration, and donations to their local Strut Your Mutt event.

Time Commitment:

• The commitment is flexible based on your availability. There will be multiple opportunities to assist.

• Hours of work will vary and may require work on weekends and/or evenings.

• July-October.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Regularly check Event Ambassador emails for volunteer opportunities and sign up to participate in at least one event a month.

• At events and high-traffic locations, greet passers-by and speak knowledgeably about Strut Your Mutt and Best Friends Animal Society, encourage on-site or pre-registration, and boost donations to Strut teams. Collateral materials and talking points will be provided.

• Assist with registering people on site at promo events via a smartphone/tablet, on an as-needed basis

• Deliver event marketing materials to exhibitors, local businesses, dog parks, community groups and other distribution points as needed. May require use of a personal vehicle.
