Instructors: Veterans, teachers, business Leaders, Trade Skills, Pilots, Public Safety, Heavy equipment Drivers. CDL Desired. AircraftMechanics: civilian & military aircraft mechanics W/FAA A&P License and rotary wing experience desired to maintain fleet of AH-1 Cobra's, UH-1 Hueys and OH-58s.

For exciting SOaR team that takes STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) educational training aids, including aircraft to schools across the SE US to connect the classroom with real world jobs and to reinforce the importance of stem learning in the classroom.

Volunteers needed through out the school year and during the summer some positions may require overnight travel. The foundation covers travel expenses. For volunteers residing outside the Columbia, SC area, exceptions can be made for them to meet us at the event location.

SOaR Team motivates students towards technical and engineering career fields which are needed by our nations industry and it serves as an alternative to student involvement in drugs and gangs.
