New Generation, a homeless shelter for pregnant women and parenting mothers and their children are looking for volunteers to teach a life-skills class once or twice a month. Our life-skills classes cover a variety of useful topics such as cooking instruction, budgeting, career-training & mentoring, stress-management, yoga and health-care presentations. We would love to hear what you are passionate about and eager to share with our residents who are learning how to improve their economic, physical and emotional well-being. To provide safe, family-oriented shelter for homeless pregnant women and their babies, helping to prepare and empower them to be successful in life.

Description

We provide shelter, food, transitional housing, case management, parenting education, life-skills instruction, and transportation to our residents, and aftercare services to our former residents. We can house up to 9 women and their children at our historic farm house located in Greenland, NH. Founded in 1987 by Ruthie Ford, New Generation has been the premiere provider of shelter and support services to homeless pregnant women and their babies.
