Are you looking for a meaningful way to connect with your community? Do you enjoy spending time with lovable dogs and curious children? Our Live Oak Library Tales to Tails program is in need of volunteer assistants from 3:00-5:00pm on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.
The program provides a safe environment in which children improve their literacy skills by reading aloud to certified therapy animals. The volunteer time commitment is minimal and the rewards are great! Volunteers greet children and animal handlers, set up the reading area, help select books, provide stickers at the end of each session, and set up future appointments.
