Family Weekend Retreats
ORGANIZATION: Children's Association for Maximum Potential (CAMP)
Please visit the new page to apply.
Families take primary caregiving responsibilities, so volunteers are largely there to help host families, help them find their way around Camp CAMP, and be a buddy. We need volunteers to both serve ads "Family Pals," assigned to hang out with a particular family throughout the weekend, and as "Activity Pals," helping to lead activities for the families.
Must sign up and complete a background check two weeks prior to the event. Register at campcamp.org to see all dates.
Thirty-five service hours can be earned for each weekend.

Mission Statement
CAMP's Mission is to strengthen and inspire individuals with special needs - and those who care for them - through Recreation, Respite and Education.
Description
Children's Association for Maximum Potential (CAMP) is a non-profit organization established in 1979 to provide a wide range of recreational, respite and education services for individuals with disabilities and their families. Central to each of CAMP's programs is the provision of medical support. This ensures that everyone, regardless of the degree of their medical needs, will be able to participate in all programs. CAMP's goal is to fill major gaps in services for individuals with developmental disabilities. This is also done indirectly by training potential care-providers at all levels in order to support families in the care of their family member with special needs. All CAMP programs take place at either the San Antonio facility or the Hill Country camp.
