BUDGET FOR BABY PROGRAM LEAD

Position Overview

The Budget for Baby (B4B) Program Lead is responsible for overseeing the B4B instruction provided to clients seeking financial education in preparation for the arrival of a child. The Program Lead is appointed by and serves under the supervision of the Chair of Volunteers (COV), in consultation with the Director, and in close cooperation with the Layette Coordinator.

Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinate B4B workshop schedule to include: facilities requests, instructor's schedules, availability of B4B materials, and publicity
  • Supervise the recruiting, scheduling, training, and mentoring of B4B Instructors and Contributors
  •  Monitor classroom presentations and provide assessments
  •  Promote feedback and recognition on an ongoing and periodic basis
  •  Serve as a member of the Leadership Board
  •  Provide program information as requested by the COV, Director, and HQ B4B Team
  •  Review program volunteer records for accuracy of hours served and eligible reimbursements on a monthly basis
  •  Disseminate Society information to program volunteers

Time Commitment

It is sponsored by th e Department of the Navy and operates nearly 250 offices ashore and afloat at Navy and Marine Corps bases throughout the world. The Society was incorporated in the District of Columbia and has its headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. It is managed by a Board of Directors whose members are active duty or retired members of the Naval Services, or spouses of active duty or retired members of the Naval Services.
