During the COVID 19 pandemic crisis, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah are still taking volunteers who live within the state of Utah and that they can enroll 100% virtually and be matched and start mentoring now virtually as well. We are allowing some one on one personal contacts/visits with proper social distancing.Community-Based Mentors and children meet 2-4 times per month for an average of 6-8 hours per month for at least one year. Each mentor is matched with one child, and the match can go out into the community to do activities of mutual interest. The goal is to form a lasting friendship that will change his/her life for the better, forever.
Safety is our top priority, so a background check is required. Our staff supports the matches with consistent communication and planned activities.
