There are many opportunities to volunteer in the Family Store, including sorting and pricing donations, preparing donations for sale, stocking shelves, cleaning, working the sales floor, and assisting with donation pickup. Schedules are flexible and opportunities are suitable for groups or individuals.

Description
The Salvation Army of Galveston County provides a transitional residential program in Galveston that seeks to restore and rebuild lives in Galveston by providing temporary shelter, case management and education services, and tools for securing employment. At the end of their stay, it is our desire that each one who participates leaves with employment, housing and the tools to maintain both. In addition, emergency rent, utility and food assistance is offered to Galveston County residents. Church services are offered on Galveston Island and in Texas City on Sunday mornings for anyone in the community.
