About

The School-Based Mentoring Program is a joint venture between Partners Mentoring Youth and Poudre School District. Our school-based mentoring program places community volunteers in Rocky Mountain High School, Blevins Middle School, Webber Middle School, and Olander Elementary to provide one-to-one mentoring services to students who are facing significant challenges in their social, academic, and/or personal lives. Senior Partners (Mentors) spend an average of one hour a week with the same youth for a minimum of one academic year. Many of our Partnerships continue beyond their first year into long-lasting friendships. Partnerships are based on common interests, personality, characteristics, stren gths of the volunteer and the needs of the youth. Partnerships spend time together doing various activities that help them build a relationship with one another.
