Sending a call out to the Wellness Community! Father Woody's Haven of Hope is a day shelter serving the Homeless and Indigent in Denver. We are expanding our Wellness Program and are looking for Wellness practitioners that would like to share thier skills.
ACUPUNCTURISTS, BODY WORKERS, CHIROPRACTORS, TAI CHI &/OR QIGONG TEACHERS (OR EXPERIENCED PRACTITIONERS!) AND OTHERS IN THE WELLNESS COMMUNITY!
Our mission is to offer healing opportunities for increased well-being & tools that teach healthy approaches for responding to life's challenges. Help us by sharing your valuable art with a population for whom these opportunities are often out of reach.
We very excited to say that we will have a new Wellness Center as of January 2017! Our current program includes Chair massage and Acupuncture. Our new space will allow us to expand to included more Wellness services as well as classes in Yoga, Meditation and Qigong/Tai Chi!
Shelter hours are currently Mon - Fri, 7am - 1pm, all classes and services will be offered during these hours. Scheduling is flexible. Please contact Kathleen McCarthy, Wellness Program Coordinator at 720-570-2023 (call or text)
I have personally been offering chair massage at the shelter for over 6 years, the rewards are endless... please join us. :-)
