Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County delivers medical equipment and supplies to the entire community, whether the patient is registered with our hospice or not. We serve from Diamond Point to Joyce, but concentrate on Sequim and Port Angeles. We are in need of drivers and helpers to deliver such equipment (hospital beds, wheelchairs, walkers, etc.) Vehicle (van or pickup truck) is provided.

Requirements: Pass a backgroud check with clean driving record; ability to lift 40 - 50 lbs; enjoy meeting and helping people; and can be on-call at least one day of the week.

Mission Statement

The mission of Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County is to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support to terminally ill patients and their families with free around the clock registered nursing availability and trained volunteers.

Description

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County is a non-profit charitable organization, which was founded in 1978, and operates with a large volunteer work force. Volunteers positions are varied: providing respite to the caregivers, offering companionship and support to the patients, offering grief and bereavement services to the community in grief support groups or individual sessions, delivering medical equipment and supplies to hospice and non-hospice patients, answering phones in the office, greeting visitors at the reception, providing clerical support in the office, helping with fundraising community events, and more. A small clinical staff and mission support staff handle the clinical aspect of caring for patients and running the organization. We provide all our services free of charge to patients and their families and serve Clallam County from Joyce to Diamond Point.
