Travel through time and all around Yolo County from a comfortable chair in our air conditioned building! Our Archives contains materials dating back to the 1800s and from all parts of Yolo County!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

-someone who enjoys ongoing projects

-is focused and detail-oriented

-is able to follow precise instructions

-enjoys organizing

SOME THINGS YOU MIGHT DO:

-historical research

-computer data entry

-document and photo scanning

-organization projects

-carefully handle rare ojects

-dust and vacuum shelves and books

-move boxes and other materials

-assist patrons with research

-create collection indexes or finding aids

The Yolo County Library provides access for all to books, informational technology and other media to inform, entertain and inspire.

Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
