Looking to learn how to maintain a garden? The skills of yard maintenance? Engage with nature? Or give back to your local community?
Metro Parks may have an opportunity for you!!
Metro Parks is seeking five (5) volunteers to work under the direct supervision of our Executive Director, Seve Ghose, to transform natural areas at both Joe Creason Park and Cyril Allgeier.
Seeking volunteers to dedicated approximately 10 hours a month to this project.
Volunteers will be working to maintain natural areas in both parks. This would predominantly include pulling weeds but would be open to the direction of their direct supervisor.
This is an excellent way to engage with your local parks, uplift your community, foster ownership for park properities, and connect with Executive Director Seve Ghose.
Please contact VISTA Volunteer Outreach Coordinator, Marissa Helms for more information at marissa.helms@louisvilleky.gov
