We have many elderly residents at Western Hills Healthcare Center that are craving the company of a fellow Christian. Our Christian visitors would set their own schedules, and be assigned several residents to visit each time they came in to volunteer. You would do things like read the bible aloud, pray together, listen to spiritual music together, and generally be a sympathetic ear for people in the last phase of their life. The activities staff at Western Hills LOVE our 1:1 volunteers, and they will always be around if you have any question/issue. The application/orientation/training can all be completed online, and you can be volunteering within a week. Finally, we have no minimum commitment time (we are happy to whatever time you can give!).
