Created in 1902, Children's Home Society of Florida (CHS) is the oldest and largest statewide private not-for-profit provider of services to children and families in Florida. The Intercoastal Division serves nearly 1,800 children and families in Broward County each year through a full spectrum of prevention and intervention programs. Services include foster care, adoption, clinical services, emergency shelter, counseling, mentoring, and more.
We need dedicated people, like you, who are willing to take some time out of their busy Saturday to volunteer to play and entertain children. We will need volunteers to help us set up the area, prepare games, and play with the kids alongside our staff. The event will be held at Florence H Hardy Park in Fort Lauderdale. It is a potluck and volunteers are welcome to eat as long as they contribute a dish.
Please be aware that the minimum age for volunteers is 18.

Over the years our services have expanded to include the fight to end child abuse and neglect. Each year, we help nearly 1,800 vulnerable children and families in Broward County. We have been able to do this because of wonderful people like you, who understand how important it is to ensure that children are safe in loving, caring homes.
