ORGANIZATION: Best Friends Animal Society

We are looking for local volunteers to help out with Best Friends Animal Society’s annual Strut Your Mutt dog walk and festival event, taking place Saturday, September 24th at Historic Fourth Ward Park.

Strut Your Mutt isn't an ordinary dog walk. It's a festival (and walk) where community members come together to show their support for the no-kill vision. It's about saving lives, and having a great time doing it.

Putting on this event takes a team of energetic and dedicated volunteers. This is your chance to be a part of a national movement by raising funds for local animal groups and working towards the goal of No More Homeless Pets.

Volunteer needs for this event will include: event registration; assisting along the walk route; clean up; staffing booths, attractions, and helping with stage/production duties as well as other festival-related needs.

Help with set up will also be needed the day and evening before the event, as well as assistance with tear down once the event ends.

Perks for volunteers include:

  • A volunteer t-shirt
  • Event day volunteers will receive a reusable water bottle - we're going green this year!
  • A discount code for a free registration that you can pass on to a friend or use to raise money for your favorite local rescue group.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
