About

A Little Something is a crafts cooperative for refugee women that fosters self-sufficiency through creating and selling homemade crafts. Our website is www.refugeecrafts.org. To support our cause, A Little Something relies on friendly, organized volunteers to help us with our studio supplies

Volunteers unpack, sort, and put away donations of crafts supplies.

Duties may include:

  • Sorting beads and supplies by type, color, usability
  • Bagging loose beads so they can be put away
  • Sorting yarn by color and type
  • Organizing finished projects, merchandise, and sales supplies
  • Tagging and pricing finished projects so they can be sold

This work can sometimes be tedious and requires sound critical thinking skills, patience, attention to detail, and outstanding organizational sensibilities.

We are particularly looking for volunteers to help most Wednesdays during the day, one Saturday a month, and occasional evenings.

Volunteers are passionate about our mission to empower Denver's refugee women through this local income generation craft project and share this knowledge of refugees and refugee participants' stories with others. The service of our volunteers enables A Little Something to further its work to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Denver's refugee artisans.
