Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island grants wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.

We are seeking a communications intern to support our communications work, including writing and editing wish stories for use in our e-newsletter, website, and print collateral; organizing and maintaining our electronic library of wish photo files; developing and editing social media and website copy; and assisting with research to inform our print and online communications strategies.

The ideal candidate will be a college (junior or senior preferred) or graduate student local to the Boston area with impeccable writing and editing skills, as well as strong verbal communication skills. We are seeking a writer who will contribute his/her creativity while maintaining our organization’s voice and brand standards. Demonstrable experience with social media a plus, as are graphic design and/or photography skills and experience in producing photo slideshows and videos.

This opportunity is for January 2018 through May 2018 and can be extended.
