PROJECT NEED:
The Cutting Ball Theater in San Francisco is seeking a pro bono certified independent auditor to conduct an audit of its financials from the fiscal year 2016, ending this July 31. We are a small independent theater company located in the Tenderloin district which presents three experimental productions each season. In next year's budget, we were unfortunately not able to include the fee for an independent auditor. To express our heartfelt gratitude to the auditor who provides this invaluable service to us pro bono we will offer: a season membership, free tickets to our shows and invitations to special events!
Cutting Ball has undergone two audits in recent years, including FY15, and is intent on pursuing this process every year, to ensure best financial practices as the organization continues on growing its budget and programming. Having audited financials will allow for Cutting Ball to be a player on the national scene, as it comes to the attention of bigger funders, beyond the local funding pool that has supported the company since its inception. The final audit will be used to assess the current financial state of Cutting Ball Theater and to accurately report on the past 2015-2016 season to the board of directors, funders and internally to staff members. It will also be used for all the grant applications that will be submitting this coming year.
