Job Carr Cabin Museum in Old Town Park

Friendly ambassadors needed to greet visitors to Job Carr's cozy cabin. Engage guests in learning about the Oregon Trail and life on the frontier. Help children, families, seniors and tourists to step back in Tacoma history during their visit to this replica pioneer home.

No need to know local history, we'll teach you! We welcome volunteers of all ages, interests and skill levels. Training and reference materials are provided. You will also have opportunities to assist with a variety of tasks, suited to your skills and interests, that help keep the museum running.

The museum is open W-Sat afternoons and is the visitor center for Old Town, Tacoma. All volunteers must complete a volunteer application form and successfully pass a security background check.
