The Greater Nashua YMCA is embarking on a brand new event in support of our Y Cares program. All proceeds will benefit the community through our Y Cares Program. The Y cares program offers financial support to any one in need for membership, programs and childcare. We currently give our community more than $700,000 in financial support each year.
Time Commitment:
o 1 meeting per month for 1 hour
o Day of event support
o Other tasks as volunteered
Tasks needed, but not limited to:
o Plan event details (Day, time, venue, décor/theme)
o Develop case for support and marketing material
o Develop sponsorship packets
* Make asks to potential sponsors
o Plan event entertainment/ agenda
o Recruit day of volunteers
o Recruit attendees
o Set-up, Clean up and all other day of tasks
o Thank you letters and calls

Description
The YMCA of Greater Nashua is a not-for profit organization dedicated to providing services and opportunities for youth and families in southern NH. The YMCA provides services in the area of child care, aquatics, camping, sports, Arts & Humanities, Wellness, and leadership development. Last year more than 26,000 different individuals used the YMCA of Greater Nashua. 12,000 of the individuals served were under the age of 18, making the YMCA the largest provider of youth services in Greater nashua after the Nashua school district. Over 1,300 youth and individuals were provided with financial assistance to participate at the YMCA. More than 320 different programs are offered. The YMCA of Greater Nashua has three locations: Nashua YMCA at 17 Prospect St, Nashua; Merrimack YMCA at 6 Henry Clay Dr, Merrimack, and Camp Sargent on Lake Naticook in Merrimack.
