ADOPTION COORDINATOR - JOB DESCRIPTION

The roles of the Adoption Coordinator (AC) are primarily focused around promoting adoption of pets in the adoption program. The AC works directly with the Foster Parent, Application Manager, Foster Coordinator, and Events Coordinator. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following types of activities:

-Keeping communication open with fosters and working closely with the foster coordinator to learn about the foster dogs.
-Assist in keeping pet bios and picture up-to-date on the public posts.
-Working with Event Coordinator on promoting and managing adoption events
-Processing incoming adoption applications.
-Conducting/arranging pre-adoption screening home visits and meet/greets.
-Conducting follow up calls or emails with adopters for updates
-Speaking with previous adopters if a problem arises with their adopted dog and reaching out to ED if unable to solve the issue.

The Adoption Coordinator position requires someone with excellent communication and organization skills, good management skills and the ability to enforce policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a passion for rescuing pets facing euthanasia, will be comfortable working a diverse group of people and will be familiar with New Love Animal Rescues mission, goals and programs.

This role requires approximately 3 to 5 hours a week regularly. This role is critical to support the daily operations of New Love Animal Rescue. This is a volunteer position. Previous rescue experience required.
