Many people consider their pets as part of the family. When a person is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, the challenges and stress from the illness become the priority, and a pet may be overlooked. The Hospice of Baton Rouge has partnered with the Pet Peace of Mind Program to help families alleviate the stress of caring for a pet while dealing with an end-of-life situation. We are looking for foster volunteers who will provide time, love, companionship, and shelter. A foster volunteer is also responsible to meet with new potential owners to assist in finding a home for the dog or cat. If you have a little space in your home and lot of love in your heart, please consider becoming a THBR foster volunteer!
