One hour a week as volunteer in one of our Fort Worth ISD schools is all it takes to ensure the well-being of Fort Worth and its booming economy.

A little one-on-one attention and encouragement is all it takes to help a struggling student.

Caring adults are needed once a week for an hour to help economically disadvantaged English Language Learners improve their reading abilities. Volunteer will assist student in identifying goals, making an action plan to achieve them, practicing reading strategies, and in providing continuous encouragement. Time and day of the week is chosen by volunteer.

Proficiency in reading will increase student’s chances to transition successfully to high school, build a career, and, ultimately, become a productive citizen.

Do not wait. Help us tap into our youth's potential by volunteering!

Did you know many companies and organizations allow employees to volunteer during office hours as part of their overall giving-back or community engagement policy? Check with your employer about this possibility. Thank You!
