The Baltimore Cupid's Undie Run (CUR) is looking for a Social Media and PR Coordinator. CUR is run locally by all volunteers, with support from a national professional staff based in Denver, CO.
This position would be responsible for overseeing social media activity on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snap Chat. Cupids National provides basic platforms and content, so work could vary from reposting from the national accounts, or creating new, local content. Additionally, with the guidence of the National PR Director, this position would meet Press Release deadlines, manage scheduling media appearences, and serve as Media Contact at the event in February.
Cupids Charities is a fundraising affliate of the Childrens' Tumor Foundation, raising millions of dollars annually by hosting the Cupid's Undie Run. CUR is a "Big Party, with a Brief Run." The 2017 event will be held on 2/11/17 in downtown Baltimore. Candidate should be Baltimore based, or have reliable transportation to get to Baltimore for an occasional committee meeting. Most important is a sense of humor and a willingness to commit to the cause.

Mission Statement
It’s quite simple, actually. There are children out there suffering from a debilitating genetic disorder called neurofibromatosis (NF). NF causes tumor to grow all over the nervous system and can cause blindness, deafness, learning disabilities and severe chronic pain. If these children can be so brave as to deal with the cards they have been dealt, then the least we can do is face our owns fears in a manner that raises funds to help find them a cure.
Description
Cupid’s Undie Run is a mile(ish) run in your bedroom-best on Valentine’s weekend. No, we’re not crazy, we’re just crazy serious about raising money for The Children’s Tumor Foundation. We raised over $1.3 Million in donations last year, so come join the fun and help us hit $3 Million for 2014! Festivities start mid-day on Saturday, February 15th 2014*, then we run/dance around the streets for the main event and come back for more post-race festivities and awards. Your Valentine’s Day will never be the same!
