We are looking for volunteers to help support and assist individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other types or dementia, their families and caregivers. Each month we provide a memory cafe event where people can come together in a safe and engaging environment to socialize, get information, and participate in meaningful activities. Each memory cafe event includes music, food, educational speakers, arts and craft projects, and other activities.
We are looking for volunteers to:
- Greet and meet with those who come to the memory cafe
- Assist older adults who have memory loss and dementia
- Assist with planning and serving a light lunch
- Plan, coordinate, or assist with arts and craft projects
- Speak or present an educational or entertaining topic
- Assist in planning memory cafe events
- Assist with community outreach and marketing

Marshfield Area Purple Angels (MAPA) is a new non-profit organization raising awareness about Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. We also provide information and resources regarding home care and family care giving. We support people with dementia and their families through educational and community-based projects and programs.
We are a different kind of non-profit organization...
Marshfield Area Purple Angels, Inc. operates with an entirely volunteer staff and board of directors. We are also committed to providing all of our programs and services at no charge to anyone who may benefit from them. In other words, no one pays any money to participate in our programs and services, and no one in our organization is paid to provide these programs and services. We can honestly say that 100% of the donations we receive are used to provide programs and services benefiting the Marshfield area. We define the Marshfield area as a 30 mile radius around the City of Marshfield.
