Fostering saves lives! Fosters are a very important part of the rescue process. Foster parents provide temporary shelter to a homeless pet along with love and care, but more importantly they provide a general assessment of the dog’s personality which provides Yellow Rose Animal Rescue with the information needed to place them in the appropriate permanent home environment.

A foster home is often the first time a dog has experienced kindness and love in their lives. This step provides the dog with a smooth transition into a forever home.

As a foster, all of the rescued dog’s expenses are paid by Yellow Rose Animal Rescue with the exception of food and toys. We rely heavily on foster homes to care for our dogs until all vetting can be completed and transport to the northeast can be arranged and once again upon arrival in New England, until they find their forever family.
