ORGANIZATION: Marion County Volunteer Services, Oregon

Among the issues the advisory council works on are waste reduction, protection of the environment, increasing public education concerning waste issues, and improving operations of solid waste management facilities. The committee meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday from 6:30 -9:00 pm in Salem. Three citizen-at-large, one chamber of commerce, and one community organization position is available.
