North Central Hospice, a program of Visiting Nurse & Health Services of Ct. is seeking vigil and short-notice volunteers to provide companionship and emotional support for terminally ill patients and their families.
Vigil Volunteers are those who have completed the hospice training and are available, upon request, to provide additional support to patients and families during the final days and hours of life. We ask that you be available for a 3-4 hour block of time on an average of 1 time per month.
Short-Notice Volunteers are those who have completed the hospice training and are available, with little notice, to provide support to patients and families.
