Every day the Rescue Mission of El Paso serves 3 full meals a day to our residents and the homeless community of El Paso. Our kitchen does not close for holidays and we have never missed a meal! We need your help to continue to bless the El Paso homeless community with meals. The times you will be usually scheduled to help in the kitchen revolve around our meal times: 5:30am-7:30am, 11:30am-1:30pm, and 4:30pm-6:30pm (on Sundays breakfast and lunch are served one hour later). If you are unavailable during these times, you may still help in the kitchen during off hours! There is no application process; all you need to do to bless your brothers and sisters is schedule an appointment with our volunteer coordinator. For more than 60 years, the Rescue Mission of El Paso has served as a member of the local body of Christ in proclaiming the Gospel to the poor and displaced while demonstrating the love of Christ in assisting persons with physical needs of food, clothing, shelter, counseling, education and vocational training.
Description
The Rescue Mission of El Paso aims at making the community a better place. We offer a wide assortment of programs including our emergency shelter for anyone experiencing homelessness, Social Services, Drug and Alcohol Relapse Prevention Program, Disability and Senior Living Facilities.
The Rescue Mission of El Paso needs volunteers to assist those in our community who are in need of our help. The needs of our population are vast and diverse, and we are seeking volunteers to help us meet these needs by using their unique skills and interest in the homeless community of El Paso.
