Are you passionate about Veterans and Military families? Would you like to give back to our heroes and show our appreciation?

Soldiers' Angels is looking to grow our Angel family in Bonham! We are looking for an active VA Deputy to help us expand our Veteran Support Program and be a leader to our Patient Visit Volunteers.

VAVS Patient Visit Volunteers go to our VA Hospitals, provide comfort items to our Veterans, and spend quality time with them thanking them for their service! Soldiers' Angels is one of few organizations authorized to work directly through the VA Hospitals and we serve veterans of all branches and eras.

Our deputies would help with the recruitment, training, retention, and recognition of volunteers as well as help coordinate events and community outreach efforts.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to volunteer 5-10 hours per week (some of those hours would be done at the VA hospital, others from remote locations)
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have basic computer skills and understanding of Microsoft products (excel, word, outlook, etc.)
• Must be energetic, reliable, and take initiative
