ORGANIZATION: Building A Generation

Do you need real-life experience to apply what you are learning in the classroom? Volunteer with Building A Generation and add experience to your resume! Our Nurturing Parenting Classes need volunteers to help support the Child Enrichment and Child Care portions. Our parenting classes are designed to help reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect and the curriculum is evidence-based and relevant. If you commit to 16 weeks of volunteering (we are flexible), we will happily pay for your fingerprinting. You will need your fingerprinting and have your TB testing done before the first day of your volunteering. You will also get a meal every day you volunteer during the first 30 minutes of class! You will be able to either focus on supporting Child Care for children ages 0-2 or a Child Enrichment curriculum for children ages 3-5 or both, depending on your interests. Sometimes older siblings attend and we supervise homework for them, too.
