We're starting a program called music and memory. If you love music this opportunity is for you. Free training, no skills needed, just the love of music. We have patients in nursing facilities that are very lonely. Our music volunteers download a playlist on Ipods that the patient likes, then visits and plays the music for them. You can get more information online, at music and memory.
Your time (an hour a week or every other week) and talent (reading, journaling, helping with hobbies) can improve the quality of life of our patients. We’ll work with your schedule. Kerrville, Boerne, Fredericksburg area.
Volunteer orientation is provided, background check and TB screen for all volunteers. Drivers license needed. Must be at least 18.
